Hall of Fame
Selection Criteria
The Department of Athletics wishes to recognize and honor those individuals who have been associated with the University and the Department, and whose achievements both at New Paltz and in the ensuing years exemplify the ideals of success and good citizenship as characterized by the Department.
Number of Awards
There will be no more than four (4) inductees selected in any given year. If a candidate is nominated but not selected, their name will be carried for a five-year period.

Nominations
Nominations are solicited from Alumni Foundation Board Members, Department Chairpersons and faculty, past and present coaches and athletes, as well as members of the campus community at large.
Selecting Body
The selection committee shall nominate, select and set policy for the New Paltz Athletic Hall of Fame. The committee shall include but is not limited to, the Director of Athletics, the Associate Director of Athletics, the Alumni Director, a retired faculty member and the Chair of the Intercollegiate Athletics Board.
Timeline
Nomination materials will be available online. Completed forms are due July 1; selection is made at the end of July. Induction will occur annually on the first Saturday in May. Plaques will be given to the inductees with a copy added to the Hall of Fame room.
